On January 10, from 1 to 3 pm, the Women’s Centre will host a “Mending Hearts” session of sewing and crafting hearts.

Mending Hearts is an initiative supported by the John Rafferty Memorial Fund, and led by Pam Cain, with the goal of creating community awareness and support for the Elizabeth Fry Society of Northwestern Ontario. Please join us in making hand-crafted hearts to build empathy, understanding and express support and caring for women and girls in the justice system, particularly those who are, or may be, criminalized.

The Women’s Centre will provide snacks and beverages, please feel free to bring a dish to share!

Supplies are provided by Mending Hearts and the Women’s Centre, but you are welcome to bring and share your own fabric, notions or other crafting supplies.

We are located at 73 Cumberland St. North, #101.
